Who knew starting up a BBQ sauce business could be such an undertaking. I’ve barely dabbled on Facebook, I’ve certainly never tweeted, and now I’ve got a blog? In the immortal words of Frank Barone, “holy crap”, I’m now doing all three!
The starting of the business has been a real family undertaking. Thank you to Judy, Sarah and Cola for your creativity, Matt for your accounting expertise and to Ryan and Rachel for their never ending support for the product. Without reading one of Ryan’s Facebook posts, I’d never have known that the sauce being “dank” was a good thing!
Our initial goal is to have all the kinks worked out before we go live on internet sales, and I ask that you help us by inviting all of your friends to “like” us on Facebook. When we hit 500 likes, we’re going to do a drawing for 10 2-packs and one of our custom Bob’s Bitchin’ baseball caps, and send them out to the winners. Thus, we’ll get the shipping part down. We plan on having next day shipping on all orders, and will be sending orders by priority mail.
We’ll be selling the sauces at local Farmer’s Markets, and we plan to grow the wholesale market as well. You can help us grow by giving us ideas where to sell the products, and we welcome all feedback to email@example.com.
